Broomleigh is an independent, not-for-profit social business with charitable status, regulated by the Housing Corporation and controlled by our Board. Day-to-day management of Broomleigh is delegated to Senior Management Team, led by the Chief Executive.
Vanesa Antar, Assistant Director of tenancy services
Vanesa joined Broomleigh in 2006 bringing with her 15 years experience of working in the housing sector, in local authority and housing association settings. She is responsible for the all the tenancy management and rent income functions. One of Vanesa’s previous roles was in a resident management organisation, including a key focus on resident involvement, something which she’s keen to build on at Broomleigh.
Vicky Bonner, BA (Hons), MSc, Director of Housing
Vicky has responsibility for a wide range of teams including the anti-social behaviour team, the resident involvement team, the rent arrears team, the housing officer teams and the voids and lettings team. She is also responsible for supported and retirement housing and the keyworker teams. The customer services team, including both the Contact Centre and the Service Improvement Team, fall within her remit.
Vicky joined Broomleigh in 1995 having just completed an MSc in Housing and Social Policy at the LSE.
Nick Dudman, Interim Chief Executive
Nick Dudman joined Broomleigh in October 2007 from Peabody Trust where he is interim Property Director. He is an experienced interim manager and recent assignments include periods as chief executive at Beaver Housing and Thanet Community Housing Association, as well as other temporary roles at executive level in the sector.
Deji Fajobi, BSc (Hons), PGdip, MCIOB
Deji is Assistant Director for Property Management. He joined Broomleigh in October 2007 armed with 15 years experience in the social housing sector and four years in the private construction sector. Deji is responsible for the Property Services, Leasehold and Service Contracts teams. In his previous role, Deji was Head of Property Services for a London based housing association with responsibility for the responsive; planned maintenance and estate management functions.
Steve Gallacher, BA (Hons), FInstLM, MCMI, ACQI, Assistant Director
Steve is the Assistant Director Environmental Services responsible for the BEST team, grounds maintenance and overseeing the partnering arrangements for the day to day reactive repairs service. Steve has over 20 years experience within the housing and landlord and tenant sectors having previously held senior housing management posts in a number of London boroughs. As a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing Steve is a familiar speaker on a wide range of landlord and tenant issues including leasehold concerns, partnering best practice and affordable housing topics.
Mary Lynch, BA (Hons), BSc, CIOH. Commercial Director
Mary has responsibility for a wide range of roles including, policy and data management, day-to-day repairs, planned maintenance and the capital programme including decent homes. She is also responsible for the Best team, grounds maintenance, leasehold services, community regeneration and business development.
Mary joined Broomleigh in January 2006. She has 25 years experience in Housing and Construction, working for many London boroughs and the private sector.
Phil Miles
Phil is Assistant Director Regeneration. His responsibilities involve developing a regeneration programme for Broomleigh and supporting its growth strategy. He has recently returned to work for Broomleigh, having worked many years ago on the regeneration of the Groves Estate.
Julie Schoon, BA (Hons), Assistant Director
Julie Schoon is responsible for the allocations and lettings department, key worker housing and our supported housing services. Broomleigh provide support to over 800 older people in retirement housing and a floating support services to over 300 vulnerable people each year. Julie has strengthened and developed these services considerable since she took up her post in 2001 from Hyde.
Ann Sheckley
Ann joined Broomleigh back in 1992 after working for the London Borough of Croydon. As Assistant Director Of Customer Services she is responsible for our Customer Services, Rent Account and Service Improvement Teams.
